Delivery! We love receiving parcels in our house, my daughter gets so excited whenever she hears the bell ring and this time, the delivery was for her.
There are so many kids activities to choose from and it can often be confusing and overwhelming to decide which ones to try out. Over the past year, Little Miss and I have been along to a number of activities that we’ve loved, but our absolute favourite is Gymbaroo.
I first started taking Little Miss when she was 4 months old, and not only is it really great uninterrupted quality time with your child, it also helps you to monitor and encourage your childs development at each stage. Plus it’s loads of fun with a bubble machine, singing, treasure bag, massage time (for the kids sadly, not the parents) parachute time and a fantastic kids gym with slides, mini trampolines, climbing ropes, ball pits and much more.
The centres are clean, well organised and efficiently run and the teachers are so passionate about what they do. They are also a wonderful source of information and can explain what’s happening with your childs development and what you can expect next.
Little Miss and I love our weekly Gymbaroo sessions and our wonderful happy, friendly teacher and we can often be heard singing Gymbaroo songs long after our session has finished.

What activities have you discovered that you love doing with your child?
Little Miss is turning one very soon, and as I look back over my first year as a mum, I’m thinking about what children’s products I’ve discovered that I really love;
Putamayo Kids CD’s
I love having fun, upbeat background music playing at home and in the car during the day. Initially the kids CD’s I tried were a bit babyish or were intended to be played before bedtime. Then I discovered Putamayo Kids CD’s and haven’t looked back. We have quite the collection now, but Latin Playground and Picnic Playground are our favourites. They are mostly original songs and are a great way to introduce your kids to different languages and cultures. You can find them online here.
Baby Tastes Book
This book has been written by two experienced child health nurses and is a great way to introduce natural, healthy food to your baby. Babytastes also has yummy follow on recipes like banana and blueberry pikelets and salmon pasta for the whole family. It includes a very handy ‘Suggested foods and textures’ chart which is an easy way to keep up with what consistency food should be according to your child’s age. The Babytastes website is also a fantastic source of information and one that I visit regularly.
Little Miss was given a Britt Bear when she was born, and we have both loved it ever since. They are super soft and beautifully made right here in Australia. Little Miss sleeps with her Britt Bear every night, and they can easily be popped in the washing machine whenever they need to be freshened up. A great gift idea for an expectant mum or a special little something for your child. You can find them here.
Milk Baby Products
I have really loved trying different baby skincare products over the past year. Milk Baby has been developed by Lindy Klim and uses all natural ingredients like lavender oil, chamomile extract and rose hip oil – so they smell divine! It’s a little everyday luxury for your little one, and also makes a beautiful gift. You can find them online here.
