Gowns to Gasp For

These gowns have literally made me gasp with delight with their gorgeous hues and heart stopping ‘wow’ factor.  They are, quite simply, gowns to gasp for.

Diane Kruger channelled old Hollywood glamour in this Giambattista Valli sea foam chiffon gown at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival. This look is sheer perfection, Diane Kruger manages to get it oh so right every time. I love that her hair and make up are elegantly understated to really let the dress shine.  Oh Diane, how I adore you.

Another gorgeously glamorous woman who gets right time after time is Kate Middleton. I just can’t get enough of her in this this teal toned Jenny Packham gown.  The detailing is just to die for; from the delicate lace, jewelled belt and soft draping. The Jimmy Choo heels compliment the dress beautifully and her elegant braided hairstyle makes for pure princess perfection.

Charlize Theron has long been one of my favourite fashion icons. In this cover of UK Vogue she exudes Grace Kelly glamour wearing a stunning ice blue Versace gown. The swept back hair, exquisite earrings and flash of lusciously long legs is simply heart stopping. In my next life I am demanding that the leg gods give me pins like hers.

What is your all time favourite heart stopping gown?

Princess Style

I’ve loved Princesses ever since I was a little girl.  My mum had a book about Princess Di and I would look through it admiring all of her beautiful outfits and colour co-ordinated accessories.  She was such a beautiful woman, and through her status and fashion flair brought much needed attention to many charities and causes.  I still miss her and wonder what she would be like now if she was still alive.

These days I love seeing what the current real life Princesses are wearing, they always seem to get things just right and are a constant source of style inspiration.

Kate Middleton

From her long, luscious hair to her stunning smile, I just love Kate Middleton.  She has a great sense of style and even her everyday outfits are amazing!  Plus she does her own make up which is both perfectly pretty and impressive.

Princess Mary

Princess Mary is my absolute favourite Princess bride; her dress, hair, veil, jewellery and make up were just perfection.  She has such a sophisticated air and I love that she was a normal everyday girl from Tasmania who is now living the Princess fairytale.

Princess Charlotte

Show jumper, model, and magazine editor – Princess Charlotte of Monaco is unbelievably beautiful.  I love her classic style, effortless chic and that European way of looking perfectly ‘thrown’ together.  The ice blue strapless gown and cape below is just heaven.

Queen Rania

Queen Rania is another amazingly beautiful woman, and her fashion sense is just perfection. Being Muslim, she always gets the balance of modesty and style just right.

Princess Letizia

Former journalist, Princess Letizia of Spain looks equally as glamorous at  formal events as  she does out and about with her two young daughters.  She is super chic and elegant and I always love to see what she’s wearing.

I think I could look at pictures of these Princesses all day!  Hmm, perhaps an idea for a Pinterest board?

Happy royal style gazing lovelies!

A xx
