A stunning collection of wedding gowns has been launched at the WA Museum with a glamorous VIP wedding ceremony. The exhibition includes dresses worn by Gwen Stefani, Dita Von Teese and Sarah Jessica Parker and spans styles from the early 1800’s to modern day.
The Telethon Adventurers are a group of people who care so much about finding a cure for childhood cancer they are willing to climb mountains, jump out of planes, swim with sharks and even walk under water to raise a staggering $1,800,864 in under a year for the Telethon Institute and Princess Margaret Hospital.

Last night a large crowd braved the stormy Perth weather for the much anticipated annual Dine for Life evening. Guests enjoyed dinner at multiple locations around Perth including Nobu, Rockpool, Bistro Guillaume, 1907, Petit Mort, Beluga and many other restaurants. An after party was held at Print Hall where guests were treated to cocktails and heard more about this years chosen charity SISHA, an organisation that is dedicated to providing justice and hope for men, women and children who have been subjected to exploitation in South East Asia.

Telethon has been so special for me ever since I was a little girl. I remember staying up late, watching the excitement and being so inspired by how much money was raised helping sick kids over 26 hours of live television. This year Telethon kicked off with a massive opening act from Johnny Ruffo, Daryl Braithwaite, Soul Mystique, Andrew Da Silva and an array of Channel 7 stars and promised to be the biggest and best Telethon yet! The Terrace Hotel finally flung open it’s doors last Thursday evening with an opulent VIP soirée. Guests including Premier Colin Barnett, Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, Ray Costarella, Emma Booth, Jessica Gomes, Zara Bryson and PR maven Caitlin Irving were treated to endless rounds of Veuve Clicquot and canapés prepared by Executive Chef Shannon Wilson.
After dodging rain drops and puddles while zipping through Perths CBD, I arrived at Myer feeling slightly windswept but oh so excited for an evening of friends, designers, fashion and fun.
The floral arrangements were simply stunning and helped to set the spring time mood despite the stormy, wintery weather outside.
Resident Myer stylist Andrea and blogger at And Andrea was rocking Sass & Bide. She has been a total standout during Perth Fashion Festival with her colourful and clever fashion choices. She also happens to be one of the loveliest, most genuine people you’ll ever meet. (Spot the gorgeous Sarah in the left of the background. I loved her very chic outfit.)
Aurelio Costarella talks fashion magic with guests, he told me he loves these kinds of events where he gets to meet people and have a chat.

Andrea and I decided to have some fun and had a mini photo session during the event, Andrea was loving the back detailing on my Zhivago dress and I have to confess… I was loving it too!
Perth Town Hall was transformed into a sea of glamorous fashionistas, designers and models last night for the VIP opening night of Perth Fashion Festival 2012 with One Fell Swoop showcasing their ethereal designs.
I had managed to get lucky last minute tickets to the show and had to perform my very own Perth Fashion Festival ‘Amazing Race’ when I realised my Aurelio Costarella dress was still at the tailors. I was rewarded by seeing the man himself upon arrival, Aurelio is a true gentleman – stylish, gracious and always happy to stop and say hello.
The One Fell Swoop collection featured lots of exquisite draping using earthy tones – so beautifully soft and feminine and ultra flattering for the female form.
My date for the evening was the one and only Lisa Fernandez from 92.9, she had fun catching up with Alvin Fernandez from WA label Ae’lkemi who are showing on Sunday night.
My other date for the evening was my style mentor Andrea Tonkin; Perth Myer Stylist and fashion blogger at AndAndrea. If you are not already following her, then do yourself a favour and make sure you do! We had a glass of bubbles with the glamorous Claudia Bertorello-Kell, always a pleasure to see her smiling face.
I also saw my gorgeous and very talented friend Lara from Zhivago, wearing a stunning nude Zhivago dress (but of course!). I am loving her navy dip dyed hair!
I love meeting new people and got chatting to the beautiful Roisin and Zak who I discovered own Alpha Models. I wasn’t surprised to later learn that both of them had worked as models themselves – they are both so ridiculously good looking! (and ridiculously lovely.)
We were all super excited to meet stylist extraordinaire Ivanna Fontana (far right) who is Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi’s stylist. As Lisa so perfectly put it, Ivanas name was destined for greatness! She was wearing a white drapey One Fell Swoop dress with black lace up heels, and was just SO beautiful. Sigh.
We are so lucky to have such incredibly talented designers in WA and I can’t wait to see what else Perth Fashion Festival 2012 has in store for us.
