Five Beauty Products I’m Loving Right Now

With the Spring Racing Carnival about to begin, and the festive season just around the corner I’ve found some fab new beauty products for a bit of extra fun and glamour.  These are five that I’m loving right now.

Q Silica Paw Paw Rescue Ointment $7.50

With the change of season, I get really dry lips and this Q Silica Rescue Paw Paw ointment is perfect for nourishing and moisturising my lips. I was recently shocked to find out that my usual paw paw ointment (the one that comes in a red jar) was full of nasty petrochemicals, so that one was thrown out and the Q Silica Paw Paw rescue has been living in my handbag ever since.

Wasp Designer Lashes $16.00

One of my friends from the fashion world told me her secret for getting ready for events is a pair of Wasp Designer lashes.  Since then I’ve been converted! They really open your eyes up and add the glamour factor to your make up. They are very easy to put on as you can re-apply if you don’t get it right first time. You can buy a special applicator, but I just use tweezers.  I put my eye make up on first, including mascara, then I apply the lashes from the outside corner of my eye along the lash line where my eyeliner is and voila! Big, fabulous glamorous lashes! You can see a video of how easy they are to use here.  I use DL2 or DL3.

1000 Hour Nail Wraps $9.95

I’ve become a big fan of the ‘glitter finger’ or ‘feature nail’ recently, and had a special shellac mani done with a glittery ring finger which you can see below.  I couldn’t get into my usual nail salon over the weekend, and the salon I went to didn’t have glitter shellac (who would have thought a grown woman could be so disappointed over an absence of glitter?), so when I spotted these glitter effect nail wraps I snapped them up. The pack includes 8 sizes, and are easy to use. Perfect for the upcoming festive season I say!

Sodashi Balancing Concentrate $65.30

I started using Sodashi products back in August (you can see my post here) and LOVE LOVE LOVE them. I especially love the balancing concentrate as it’s an ideal way to prep skin before an event.  This concentrate is made with lemon, lime and lavender and gently exfoliates and refreshes your skin so it’s smooth and much easier to apply make up. Oh, and your bathroom will smell amazing after you’ve used it!  Sodashi is made in Western Australia using only natural products and is considered one of the purest skincare ranges in the world. You can check out more of their beautiful products here.

Loreal Color Riche Lipstick in Freshly Candy $25.95

This is one of the best pink lipsticks I’ve found, it’s such a fresh and flattering shade and would suit most skin tones. It’s perfect for Spring and Summer and would be ideal if you’re heading to any Spring Racing Carnival events.  You can get Loreal lipstick at most chemists, Priceline, Myer, Target and K-Mart.

  1. I keep looking at those nail wraps but haven’t tried them yet! I think I’ll do that soon though as I’m so boring with my nails right now – constantly just doing pale pink :-/
And my favourite beauty product right now is my cleansing oil from Audra James – my skin looks the best it ever has so I’m super happy with it!! xx

    • I did pale pink nails for about a year and am loving doing something a bit different now! I’ve never heard of Audra James, I’ll have to check it out with your glowing review 🙂 xx
